Miraculous Ladybug Season 5 Episode 25

The episode opens with a news broadcast by Nadja about summer break in Paris and people voting for Caline Bustier to be the Mayor, then the arranged "perfect" couple Kagami Tsurugi and Adrien Agreste will be doing their modeling careers in London and then it goes on to a commercial break of Perfection water bottle. Seeing this, Kagami angrily throws her shoe on the TV screen as she is annoyed by those news. At his lair, Gabriel Agreste and Tomoe Tsurugi launch Operation: Perfect Alliance. In a single day, they did all this for their children. Gabriel transforms into Monarch and summons a Megakuma. He then de-transforms and tells the Megakuma to evilize him into Nightormentor and then asks Mullo, Kaalki and Orikko to grant him their powers. First, he gains the power to fly through Sublimation, and then Multitude to make clones and have them use Voyage to travel all across the globe to spread nightmare dust. No one and no country is safe as everywhere the Nightormentor clones go, people are infected with the nightmare dust, including many of Ladybug and Cat Noir's allies around the world, including the United Heroez and Ladydragon. The Nightormentor clones returned and fall back in with the original, who then coughs out the Megakuma turning him back into Gabriel. He tells Tomoe that the nightmare has been spread. Phase 1 is complete. In a dream, Marinette in a Ladybug Knight outfit drove to the Agreste mansion asking the camera that she wants to see Adrien, and the camera wants nothing to do with his son. Ladybug Knight slashes through the gates and climbed the beanstalk to fight an akumatized Dragon. Once she defeated it, the creature turned out to be none other than Gabriel. Ladybug Knight slipped and slashes him, making him disappear like a Senti-being vanishing. When Adrien, horrified, asked her why she did that, Marinette wakes up from her nightmare. Tikki reassured her that he's in London now. Marinette calls her to make sure he is okay, she tried to call him, but it instead went to voicemail. Marinette decided to talk with Nathalie about Adrien's whereabouts. When she got downstairs, Marinette told Tom and Sabine that she has to run errands, and Tom asks her if she is going to eat but Marinette says she's not hungry and states that this has nothing to do with Adrien and that she has to hangout with her friends. Tom had a horrible nightmare about Marinette and so does Sabine. She had a nightmare about Tom being akumatized into Werebaker. It is clear that the Dupain-Chengs have been affected by Nightormentor's nightmare dust, even Marinette. Outside, Alya bumped into her. Since she is terrified that she'll blab her secret identity, she runs away, since they can't be seen together. Marinette tries to reach out to her friend, but her nightmares started to return, so she decides to talk to Nathalie and see Alya later. Adrien has a nightmare as Anti-Cat and Monarch has asked him to give him his Miraculous and Ladybug's. Adrien wakes up from that bad dream and then tries to ask the Gorilla to let him out. Gabriel tells Tomoe to start distributing the antidote as part of Phase 2 of their master plan and the process is launched. Adrien receives an Alliance ring with a message about the Perfect Alliance app. Adrien tries to put on the ring, but he throws it calling his father insane. Plagg tells him to transform into Cat Noir and find Ladybug, but Adrien tells him to hide. Plagg then reminds and reassures him that kwamis cannot be seen or heard through cameras, but Adrien then responds that Gabriel could see or hear him transform, so Plagg then turns the camera off and then proceeds to leave, but Adrien refuses to do that, and Gabriel notices he's not getting a signal and asks Tomoe to activate the camera in Adrien's robot. The robot activates the camera and Adrien suffers a nightmare. He then tries to trick his father by putting something over the camera to obscure his view, but Gabriel turns the volume down and silences it. Adrien states he can't transform as he is not in the right mind due to his nightmares, he is too angry on himself for Marinette's love, for letting his father to send him to London, and for his image being used in the Alliance rings. It's making him sick, so he decided to take off the Cat Miraculous and gives it to Plagg so that since he can't help, he tells Plagg to find Ladybug so she can use it and that they'll meet each other again. Adrien decided to use Perfect Alliance to take a nap. At the Agreste mansion, Marinette arrives in her electric scooter and Tikki finished the Croissants and then reminds her owner that her powers are not meant to be used for personal gain, but Marinette tells her Kwami that this is for Adrien and transforms into Ladybug and goes into the mansion. Nathalie in her dream sees the advertisement of Perfect Alliance and Monarch has both the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses and caused a huge explosion which woke Nathalie up. She them decided to leave Adrien a recorded message in her tablet, but couldn't finish it due to her declining health, she knows that Monarch is about to start his master plan and arming herself with a crossbow, she decides to take him down herself. Tom and Sabine are calmed down by the Perfect Alliance app and Plagg is traveling to find Marinette. Back at the mansion, Ladybug is looking around Nathalie's room to find her, while Plagg searched everywhere for Marinette but notices a photo of Alya and their friends at the houseboat and travels there. At the lair, Tomoe informs Gabriel that 80% of the users have downloaded the app and Gabriel is ready for Phase 3, but Tomoe states that everyone has to be dependent on the antidote, otherwise, the shock won't be great enough to cure them. Plagg arrives at the houseboat and sees Alya, but she didn't notice him and the inactive Miraculous holders are watching Adrien and Kagami. Mylène, comes in and explains she just recovered from her nightmare in that all the trees have been uprooted by aliens. Nino suggests to Mylene to wear the Alliance ring, but she refuses because they broadcast images of Adrien and Kagami. She notices Ivan with an Alliance ring and he tells her that he had a horrible nightmare about Mylène leaving him for polar bears. She asks her boyfriend to take the ring off, but he can't. Mylène screams that the Alliance ring has gotten the resistance hypnotized. Alya and Nino tell her to put on the ring to make sure she won't get akumatized. Mylène, pressured into believing that the ring means fighting against Monarch, puts it on. Plagg tries to get Alya's attention, but is sad that it still didn't work. Tomoe states that 99% of the population has downloaded the app, and that they may begin Phase 3. Just then, an alarm goes off in the crypt; Émilie's pod was shut down. Horrified, Gabriel rushes to the Crypt and manages to turn the pod's power back on before anything happened to his wife's body, then tells his wife he will regain the Miraculouses. However, this was a trap; Nathalie arrives with her crossbow, reminding him he cannot do that as if he revives Émilie, someone will have to go in her place. Gabriel tells her that he isn't monstrous enough to sacrifice a human being if it means getting his wife back. He then transforms into Monarch and slaps away the crossbow and Nathalie passes out due to her failing health. Monarch carries her unconscious body back to her room where Ladybug was looking for Nathalie, but much to her shock, finds Master Fu's tablet with images from the Grimore and of the previous Miraculous holders in their civilian identities, then Ladybug heard Monarch's footsteps and her shock intensifies when seeing him de-transform back into Gabriel and that he confiscated Nathalie's tablet and Master Fu's as well so he let bygones be bygones and let her calm down with Perfect Alliance. Ladybug texts to Cat Noir that Gabriel is Monarch, but at the last moment, she decided not to send it and asks Nathalie where Adrien is, she says that Adrien is safe but Ladybug is not since Monarch is about send humankind after her and learns the truth about her use of the damaged Peacock Miraculous and she is about to die. Nathalie gives Ladybug Émilie's cellphone and tells her to transform back before passing out, much to Ladybug's sadness. Meanwhile, Gabriel transforms into Monarch again and tells Tomoe to proceed to the next phase of the plan by creating a simulation where Ladybug and Cat Noir chastised Adrien and Kagami, thinking that they're doing better than them, and kidnap them both, then all the Alliance rings were immediately shut down. Ivan hugs Mylene that he's scared when Nadja tells everyone that Ladybug and Cat Noir kidnapped Adrien and Kagami. The Resistance all suffered a nightmare due to Gabriel's earlier actions as Nightormentor and there is nothing left to protect them from being akumatized. Alya tells everyone that Ladybug has done incredible things and especially Cat Noir, so there's no way they would stoop so low as to kidnap Adrien and Kagami out of jealousy. Monarch decided to create a quantum imprint for Ladybug and Cat Noir using a bit from his Cataclysm injury and a Magical Charm to create an app which turns people into Miraculized, superhumans with only the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses in mind. Ivan is transformed into a Miraculized and asks Mylene to help him find Adrien and Kagami, but she refuses as she asked him to take off his ring. Plagg then asks Alya to be his holder but she can't because she'll be akumatized back into Lady Wifi, so Plagg decides to find Ladybug. At the Agreste mansion, Ladybug tried to contact Cat Noir, but before she tried to finish her sentence, she is trapped as the mansion entered lockdown mode as the Ladybug and Cat Noir quantum imprint detector has been activated. Miraculized used Voyage to travel via the portal through the mansion without breaking in and fought Ladybug, asking where are Adrien and Kagami. Plagg notices the fight from inside and decides to travel through the portal to find Ladybug. After a long battle she decided to de-transform and hear Nathalie's words and then the quantum imprint is lost, forcing the Miraculized to leave the mansion since they lost Ladybug's signal. Monarch then decides to meet Ladybug in person in his mansion so he takes the powers of Stompp, Pollen, Wayzz, and Kaalki and then uses Voyage to travel through the mansion to find her. Hidden in the kitchen, Marinette states that she can't get a hold of Cat Noir or transform as the Miraculized would find her as Ladybug again. Plagg then enters the cupboard to find Marinette, but he drops the ring, which makes a faint noise that Monarch hears. Marinette asks Plagg where Cat Noir is, and he states that he fell victim to the Alliance ring and asks what she's doing in the Agreste mansion. Marinette then answers that it's where Monarch lives as Tikki nods at Plagg. She also picks up the previously dropped ring, and puts it on. Just then, Monarch drags her out of the cupboard. Determined, she glares back at Monarch with a smirk. Monarch is shocked to find Marinette Dupain-Cheng, reminiscing the amounts of times he tried akumatizing her, but she corrects him in this statement. She then unifies Tikki and Plagg to become a fusion of Ladybug and Lady Noire, and kicks Monarch in the face, flipping back. After she manages to do this, she heroically poses and puts her fists up, and finally, she states that she's Bug Noire, ending the episode on a cliffhanger as she's ready to do battle with her hated arch-enemy and end his threat once and for all.
